Turkey's Gas Transport Down in 2019

Inflow into the Turkish gas transmission system during 2019 was 46.83bn m³, a rise of 6.55% on 2018, Turkey's state news agency Anatolia reported on January 4, quoting data provided by state gas importer Botas.

No separate figures were given for gas imports, which accounts for the majority of inflow or for local production or exports both of which are minimal. According to data published last year by state energy regulator EPDK, total imports in 2018 were 50.36bn m³, with production reaching 0.428bn m³ and exports 0.673bn m³, giving a total inflow of 50.115bn m³.

Anatolia gave no figures for inflow by supplier but noted that total daily inflow capacity into Botas' transmission system reached 318mn m³, while the capacity of the country's underground gas storage system reached 3.44bn m³.
