Technip Energies sees revenue from energy transition
French Technip Energies said July 22 most of the monetary value of new orders in the first half this year came from work related to the energy transition.
In its Q2 2021 financial report, Technip Energies reported total order intake at €7.9bn ($9.3bn) through the first six months, a vast improvement from the €1.1bn reported for the same period last year. Most of that came from opportunities in the energy transition, including LNG.

Technip and TotalEnergies agreed recently to develop low-carbon solutions for LNG production and offshore facilities to accelerate the energy transition. The agreement also covers the use of hydrogen in power generation, as well as carbon capture and storage.
“We are shaping our future across the energy transition – both decarbonisation and carbon-free solutions,” Technip Energies CEO Arnaud Pieton said.
Technip Energies reported first half revenue of €3.2bn, up from the €3bn reported over the same period last year. For full-year 2021, the company expects to see revenue in the range of €6.5bn - €7bn.
French upstream services company TechnipFMC sold a 14% interest in Technip Energies, its recently separated engineering and construction division, for €277.5mn in April. TechnipFMC completed the separation of its engineering and construction activities from its technology and services business in February.
