PETRONAS Floating LNG1 to Come Online in 2016
The PETRONAS Floating LNG1 (PFLNG1) is expected to come online in 2016, PETRONAS announced Tuesday.
“The PETRONAS Floating LNG1 (PFLNG1) has reached a 95 percent overall progress in its construction and will come on stream in 2016,” the company said.
The facility is being developed for the Kanowit gas field off the coast of Sarawak in Malaysia. It is estimated to produce 1.2 million tons of LNG per year.
The fuel will be supplied to both domestic and international markets.
The FEED of the facility was undertaken by Technip Daewoo Consortium (TDC), a joint-venture between Technip and Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME).
