Pakistan’s Hashoo Group Eyes Country's Shale Gas Sector
Zaver Petroleum Corporation, an oil and gas exploration firm and a part of Pakistan’s Hashoo Group is eyeing investment in country’s oil and gas sector, especially shale gas, reports The Express Tribune newspaper.
The company is looking invest in shale gas exploration if the government offered a good price, Zaver Petroleum Chief Executive Officer Anwar Moeen told media.
According to Moeen, there was potential in some of the fields and the government incentivbes are needed to exploit them.
At present, Zaver Petroleum is producing 18 million cubic feet of gas per day (mmcfd), 9,000 barrels of crude oil per day and 49 tons of liquefied petroleum gas.
