Norway's November Gas Output Dips
Norwegian Petroleum Directorate, the country's upstream regulator, said December 19 that Norway's November sales gas production was slightly below October's.
Total gas sales for November 2018 was 10.2bn m³, down 0.3bn m³ on October, which meant daily output for each month was 340.8mn m3/d. As usual, nearly all was exported.
Actual gas sales for November were 6.5% below the forecast level for that month of 364.6mn m3/d, and 6% less than November 2017’s actual level of 362.7mn m3/d.
NPD said that the main reason why gas and oil production in November was below forecast was the shutdown of the Sture oil terminal and the Kollsnes gas processing plant, following the collision between a crude tanker with a military vessel early that month, as well technical problems on some fields.
Oil, NGL and condensate production in November 2018 was 1.88mn b/d, up 22,000 b/d from the preceding month, but 2.9% less than what had been forecast for November 2018.
