Jura Energy Finds Gas in Guddu Block in Pakistan

Jura Energy has announced a commercial gas discovery at the Maru East-1 exploration well in the Guddu block in the Indus basin in Pakistan.  

The Maru East-1 flowed gas at a rate of 3 MMcf/d.

The well is located approx. 1.5 Km from existing Guddu pipeline infrastructure. According to Jura, anticipated future production from the Maru East-1 discovery is expected to be entitled to a gas price of $6 per MMBtu under Pakistan's Petroleum (Exploration & Production) Policy, 2012.

Jura holds a 10.66% working interest in the Guddu block, which is operated by Oil and Gas Development Company Limited.
