InCapture Secures GHG assessment permit in Australia's North West Shelf

InCapture, which develops sites for carbon storage, has been granted a greenhouse gas assessment permit, G-15-AP, located in the North West Shelf of Australia, the company announced on August 8.

The southern portion of the G-15-AP permit area is situated 120 km from the major industrial ports of Dampier and Port Hedland. Covering over 6,500 km², the permit's location is considered ideal for long-term, safe, and secure greenhouse gas storage, according to InCapture.

The company is currently evaluating multiple storage options within the permit area, with plans to launch a fully operational carbon capture and storage (CCS) project by the early 2030s. This project aims to support Australia’s net-zero commitments and extend its environmental benefits to neighboring countries in South-East Asia, Korea, and Japan.

The G-15-AP project is a joint venture, with InCapture holding a 75% equity stake, partnered by South Korea’s SK earthon with a 20% stake, and Carbon CQ holding a 5% interest.
