Gasum to Open Four LNG Filling Stations

Finnish gas firm Gasum plans to open another four filling stations serving heavy-duty vehicles with LNG and liquefied biogas in the Nordic region this summer, bringing Gasum's overall number of stations to 26.

The new stations will be in Ljungby, Helsingborg and Gothenburg in Sweden and Lieto in Finland. Gasum is by far the largest player in the heavy-duty vehicles segment, operating 22 of the 30 stations in operation in Nordic states. It has a total of 100 stations fuelling passenger cars, buses, trucks and other vehicles with gas.

"Despite the challenging conditions during the coronavirus pandemic, Gasum is still expanding the filling station network," Gasum Sweden's director of traffic Mikael Antonsson said. "The demand for alternative fuels has grown at an incredible rate as companies pursue more environment-friendly and cost-effective transport solutions."
