Tanzania Daily News: Report - Gas to Spur Real Estate Growth

The country's real estate economy will grow rapidly because of the discovery and exploitation of natural gas, a global report has said.

Germany-based real estate portal, Lamudi's Global Communications Director, Ms Katy Campbell said, gas exploitation will increase demand for housing and office space.

The report released after undertaking research in 16 emerging markets of Asia, Africa, Middle East and Latin America, said the future of real estate in the emerging markets like Tanzania is bright citing construction of Mtwara to Dar es Salaam pipeline as a niche.

The report stated that discovery of natural gas reserves has attracted much attention to Tanzania with further investments in infrastructure.
