Fuling shale gas field's output up 18% in Q1
Gas production at Sinopec’s Fuling shale gas field increased 18% year/year in the three months to March 31 (Q1), the Chinese state-owned company said on April 15 without disclosing the actual volumes.
Fuling, in central southwest China's Sichuan basin, became operational in 2014 and serves as a key source of supply for the Sichuan-East pipeline. Sinopec said 28 new wells were put into production in Q1. It produced 6.7bn m3 of gas from the Fuling field in 2020, up 6% year/year, the company said in January.
