Fluxys expands proposal for H2 infrastructure
Belgian energy infrastructure group Fluxys asked industrial stakeholders February 7 to express their interest in connecting to open access hydrogen infrastructure in Charleroi, Belgium.
Fluxys began a market consultation for potential users and industrial players of future hydrogen and CO2 networks in the Charleroi area following previous proposals in other Belgian industrial regions.
The consultation is the next step in a plan to build new pipelines and repurpose existing infrastructure in line with market needs to transport both H2 and CO2 by mid-2026, in line with the Belgian government's H2 strategy published last year.
Fluxys is developing infrastructure for industrial clusters to connect with neighbouring countries to create a Belgian import and transit hub in a pan-European hydrogen transmission grid.
