Equinor brings on stream Norway's Bauge oil, gas field
Equinor has brought on stream the Bauge oil and gas field in the Norwegian Sea, the state oil company announced on April 8, estimating the project's cost at 4.6bn kroner ($680mn).
Recoverable reserves at Bauge are estimated at 50mn barrels of oil equivalent, mainly comrpising oil. Oil from Bauge is transported via pipeline from Njord A to the Njord Bravo floating storage offloading (FSO) unit, while gas is delivered via a 40km pipeline from Njord A to the Aasgard Transport System and onto the Karsto terminal.

Equinor operates the project with a 42.5% interest, while Germany's Wintershall Dea has 27.5%, Var Energi has 17.5% and Neptune Energy has 12.5%.
The field was discovered in 2013, and Equinor and its partners had their plan for development and operation for the project approved in June 2017.
