Elengy Appoints New CEO

French LNG terminals operator Elengy has named Laurence Borie-Bancel as its CEO with effect from June 1.

She succeeds Martin Jahan de Lestang who has been appointed to another position with parent company Engie.

Borie-Bancel started her career in 1989 at Gaz de France's center for engineering in charge of gas/LNG infrastructure projects, working in particular alongside Japan's Tokyo Gas and Osaka Gas in Japan as part of GdF's LNG cooperation program and was also involved in revamping of the Montoir de Bretagne LNG terminal in western France, in developing the Fos Cavaou LNG terminal in southern France, as well as the Dahej LNG importing terminal in India.

Following a period involved in wind projects from 2012-15, she then joined Engie's Europe generation unit late 2015 to head up operation of Engie's thermal assets in France, Spain, Portugal, Italy and Greece.
