Aussie east coast LNG exports up 9% in May
LNG exports from the three projects on the Australian east coast came to 1.87mn metric tons in May, up 9.35% year/year, according to the latest data published by Gladstone Ports Corporation. The exports were down 6% month/month, however.
China imported 1.31mn mt of LNG last month, up 11.9% yr/yr, the data showed. South Korea imported 231,223 mt as against 226,761 mt in the same month of last year while shipments to Malaysia totalled 124,927 mt, down from 246,533 mt last year.

The three projects exported 22.36mn mt in 2020, up over 1% yr/yr despite the Covid-19 pandemic. The projects are APLNG; Gladstone LNG and Queensland Curtis LNG.
