Algeria's Skikda LNG Plant Back Online after Maintenance

Algeria's Sonatrach restored production on July 16 at the 7.7mn mt/yr Skikda LNG liquefaction plant following maintenance work, it said in a statement on July 21.

A turbine failure occurred on February 21, and Sonatrach decided that, rather than wait over 18 months for a replacement turbine, it would repair the unit. Algeria's production and exports were unaffected by the downtime, as Sonatrach's complex in Arzew increased its output.
