SUN: $16bn Gas City project the game changer for Africa – Ogeah

The $16 billion Gas City project and Export Processing Zone at Ogidigben in Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State has been described as the game changer in the economic transformation of the entire African continent.

Commissioner for Information in the state, Chike Ogeah, who stated this in Asaba, said the project, when completed, would be an accumulation of every material needed for industrial revolution.

This is coming on the heels of the directive issued by President Goodluck Jonathan to Delta State government to work out a suitable date in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Petroleum Resources for the groundbreaking ceremony before May 29. President Jonathan had during an unscheduled visit to the Olu of Warri explained that the groundbreaking ceremony was suspended last year for security reasons.
