Yamal LNG Fills up 100th Tanker

Russia's second LNG export terminal Yamal LNG has loaded up its 100th cargo, majority owner Novatek said December 4. All three trains are now operational, about 11 months since the first one started up.

The landmark cargo was loaded on to the Arc7 ice-class LNG carrier Fedor Litke, and it brings the project's cumulative exports to 7.4mn metric tons. Each train can produce 5.5mn mt/yr, and Novatek and its 20% shareholder Total have plans to build more, but cheaper, terminals on the Gydan Peninsula.
