Worley Wins North Sea EPC Work
Australia's Worley has won a two-year contract for engineering, procurement and construction work at three North Sea projects operated by China's Cnooc Petroleum Europe, it said on January 29.
The work covers the full design lifecycle services, from feasibility to commissioning, at the Buzzard, Golden Eagle and Scott platforms. It will be carried out by Worley's office in Aberdeen.

"With our strategic focus on sustainability and delivering a more sustainable world, we’re delighted this work includes evaluation of alternative energy sources, building further on Worley’s relationship with Cnooc and our offshore capabilities in the North Sea," Worley CEO Chris Ashton said.
Buzzard, comprising four separate platforms, was brought on stream in 2007 and is the North Sea's biggest oil producer. It is due to start flowing oil from its second phase later this year.
Golden Eagle and Scott produce both oil and commercial gas. Golden Eagle consists of two platforms handling oil and gas from the Golden Eagle, Peregrine and Solitaire fields. It launched production in late 2014. Scott comprises two platforms.
