Wood secures $250mn contract extension in Brunei

Global consulting and engineering firm, Wood, on July 3 announced a contract extension worth approximately $250mn with Brunei Shell Petroleum (BSP). The two-year extension focuses on the continued rejuvenation of BSP's offshore energy asset portfolio to enhance production capacity and efficiency.

Under the contract, Wood will provide brownfield engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning services, along with managing the offshore marine fleet. The objective of the project is to maximise asset production capacity while minimising associated emissions.

The contract extension, effective until February 2026, enables Wood to provide a range of services to BSP's top 20 offshore installations, which account for approximately 80% of the company's total oil and gas production. Wood's teams in Brunei, based in Kuala Belait and supported by the Manila office in the Philippines, will oversee the project's delivery.
