WBJ: EBRD Looks at Investing in Polish Energy Sector
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development would like to invest €500-600 million annually in Poland, the institution’s new director for Poland, Grzegorz Zieliński, told the Polish Press Agency in an interview.
About one third of that sum could go to the energy sector. The EBRD may also be interested in financing shale gas exploration in Poland.
Zieliński said that one of the main goals of the institution’s policy in Poland is the decarbonization of the country’s economy.
