Uktransgaz Plans Engineering Works to Get Ready for Winter

Ukraine’s pipelines and underground depots’ operator Ukrtransgaz said it started preparing for the autumn, focusing on engineering work to avoid crisis over the coming autumn and winter. 

‘As of May 26 underground gas storage amounts to 10.9 billion cubic meters,’ reads a note released on Thursday.

The company also planned to overhaul the trunk pipeline. 

"I am convinced that our company will perform necessary preventive maintenance,” Igor Lohman, Chairman of the Board of Ukrtransgaz, said in a note, adding that the company expects to allow a smooth transition of hydrocarbons to Europe, as happened in the last five years.
