Kyiv Post: Gas transit to Europe and CIS up marginally in 10 months

Ukraine increased natural gas transit to Europe and the CIS in January-October 2013 by 1% year-on-year, to 69.9 billion cubic meters.

Pipeline operator Ukrtransgaz said gas transit grew 15.6% year-on-year in October to 7.4 billion cubic meters, including 7.13 bcm to Europe.

Ukraine imported 23.3 bcm of gas in the ten months, down 15.9% year-on-year. It was reported the country imported 1.7 bcm from Europe in the period, so it must have imported 21.6 bcm from Russia.

Ukraine imported around 3.6 bcm of gas in October this year, up from 3.2 bcm in the same month last year. It imported 0.2 bcm from Europe in October this year, so it must have imported 3.4 bcm from Russia.  MORE
