His statement came during a meeting with the Chairman of the Energy and Power Subcommittee of the Energy and Commerce Committee of the U.S. House of Representatives, Ed Whitfield during the meeting that took place in Washington, September 19, in the course of a working visit of the Ukrainian delegation to the United States, the press office of the National Bank of Ukraine announced exclusively for FOCUS News Agency.
The parties also discussed a question of strengthening the energy security of Ukraine, and the role of the U.S. in this matter. To ensure its own energy security Ukraine increases amounts of energy production, attracts international companies to extract gas from alternative sources, and also introduces energy efficient technologies.
