NGE Notes: Turkmenistan Ready to Deliver Gas

Turkmenistan wishes to be viewed as an attractive option for investment and is ready to deliver natural gas to willing buyers.

The comments were delivered by representative from the Turkmen Oil and Gas Ministry at the Caspian Offshore Development conference, who noted that the "government of Turkmenistan does its utmost to provide a stable political and economic environment for foreign investors.”

In response to a question on the schedule for a Trans Caspian Pipeline, the official he said: "A schedule is a schedule. Turkmenistan sells its gas on its border. If you can build a pipeline to our border, we will welcome you – we will sell our gas to you. That’s it.”
