Focus: Turkish Stream and South Stream projects costs are comparable

Cost of the Turkish Stream project is comparable to the cost of South Stream project, Vice-President of the International Association for Energy Economics Gurkan Kumbaroglu said Monday at the Valdai Club conference on European energy security, TASS reports.

"We have not yet finished all the calculations. The pipeline length remained unchanged [compared to South Stream project - TASS]. I think the cost is comparable to the cost of the South Stream project," he said.

According to Kumbaroglu, from an economic point of view, the Turkish Stream is a more practical project against the concept of the South Stream project. "Turkish Stream is beneficial for all parties - the EU, Turkey, and Russia," Kumbaroglu concluded.  MORE
