Turkey, Pakistan Want More Gas From Iran
Turkey and Pakistan have asked more natural gas imports from Iran, media reports have quoted managing director of the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) as saying.
Turkey, which currently buys 30 million cubic meters of natural gas from Iran every day, wants additional four to five million cubic meters every day.
Reports also said that Pakistan too has asked for further gas imports from Iran, which will increase Iran's sales to Pakistan from the current 23 million to 30 million cubic meters on a daily basis.
Iranian official noted that Iran is capable of supplying the demanded gas as it plans to increase its gas production by 1.5 times by the end of the next year, which will therefore increase the country’s production capacity by 150 million cubic meters.
