Total Likely to Seal Iranian Petrochemical Project Deal This Month
France’s Total is expected to seal the deal to build a petrochemical plant in Iran, according to Iranian media.
Mehr News Agency, quoting Amir-Hossein Fallah, the director for investment affairs of the National Petrochemical Company (NPC), Friday reported that a delegation from the French company will arrive in Tehran late April to finalise the agreements. Last March, a preliminary agreement was signed between Total and NPC.
As per the basic deal, Total is responsible for conducting the preliminary surveys before erecting the plant, Mehr said.
A steam cracker unit fed by ethane, naphtha, LPG, and other liquid feeders is devised in the plant along with units for downstream products.
