Morningstar: Total's CEO Sees Rising Competition on European Gas Market

French oil company Total S.A.'s (TOT) chief executive Patrick Pouyanne said Thursday he expects competition on the European gas market to increase in the coming years as U.S. producers will eventually supply the market with liquefied natural gas.

"Europe, which is not far away and where regasification capacities are under-used, will receive U.S. gas," Mr. Pouyanne said on the sidelines of an oil conference in Paris.
