Tokyo Gas Buys Malaysian LNG
Tokyo Gas Co. has inked a new deal to buy 900,000 tons of LNG per year from Malaysia LNG, which is led by state owned Petronas, for a period of ten years. The new agreement comes into effect from April 2015.
The Japanese firm has already been buying LNG from Malaysia Dua project since 1995 under the current contract.
The Malaysia Dua project is owned 90 percent by Petronas and 5 percent each by the Sarawak State Government and Mitsubishi Corporation.
