TGS announces seismic reprocessing off east India
Data and intelligence company TGS on February 10 announced east coast India seismic reprocessing project in support of the country's licensing round schedule.
TGS will utilise its proprietary 2D-cubed technology to create a dataset. This product is designed to encourage and assist exploration endeavours offshore India, it said.

This new dataset offers coverage of the prospective Krishna-Godavari basin and West Bengal fan. The data uplift will allow local and international companies to develop structural and geological models in their pre-study evaluation process using a single conformable 3D volume, TGS said.
“This will increase confidence in license round decision-making processes and support further exploration,” it said.
TGS said it has undertaken similar large-scale projects in other Asia Pacific basins in places such as Timor-Leste and Australia. This technology has also been applied offshore Sakhalin, Russia, and throughout the Norwegian and UK North Seas, it said.
