Tecnicas Reunidas to help Egyptian gas firm cut emissions
Egyptian gas firm EGAS has signed a memorandum of understanding with Spanish contractor Tecnicas Reunidas on emission reduction and clean energy projects, Egypt's petroleum ministry said in a statement on December 1.
Under the MoU, the two companies will undertake economic feasibility and technical studies on joint hydrogen production, carbon capture utilisation and storage, energy efficiency and biofuel projects. EGAS is involved in gas exploration and production as well as distribution.
The document was signed during a visit by a Spanish delegation led by prime minister Pedro Sanchez to Cairo.
