East African Business Week: Tanzania Advised to Develop Local Content in Gas

Experts and stakeholders have suggested the government harmonizes natural resource policies and laws to ensure that Tanzanians benefit writes Damas Makangale.

The Chair of the Tanzania Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (TEITI) Retired Judge Mark Bomani said “TEITI is an initiative that was formed by mining stakeholders prior to gaining experience from the Presidential Mining Commission to work shoulder by shoulder with the government, private sector, miners and other regional institutions to ensure that there is a win win situation and transparency to the entire sector,” he said.
