Daily News: Tanzania - Orca Plans 221bn shilling Songo Songo Expansion

Orca Exploration will invest 120 million US dollars (220.9bn/-) in expansion and upgrading of Songo Songo infrastructure to meet market demand for natural gas.

In a statement, the British Virgin Islands-based company which through PanAfrica Energy Tanzania Limited, jointly owns Songas Limited with Tanesco said it is expecting to increase its natural gas production which will be sold to Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation by the early next year.

“With Songo Songo production declining below infrastructure capacity and markets continuing to expand, the company has been developing plans to embark upon a first phase of Songo Songo development,” Orca said in its release.
