Tanker Firm Altera Receives Sixth LNG-Fuelled "E Shuttle"
Bermuda-based vessel operator Altera Infrastructure has taken delivery of the sixth and final vessel in a series of LNG-fuelled "E shuttles" it ordered from South Korea's Samsung Heavy Industries, the company said on March 8.
The latest 103,000-dwt oil shuttle tanker was named Altera Wind in August last year. The vessels use LNG as their primary fuel and recovered volatile organic compounds as their secondary one. Each ship is also equipped with battery packs for flexible power distribution and blackout prevention.

Altera Infrastructure, which changed its name last year from Teekay Offshore Partners, took delivery of its sixth LNG-powered oil shuttle, Altera Wave, in January, which is now transporting oil in the Norwegian North Sea.
