Taiwan's CPC to freeze gas prices for most consumers
Taiwanese state-run CPC on February 28 said that domestic gas prices will remain unchanged in March for all consumers, except power companies, which will see a 10% price hike.
The freeze on domestic gas rates for residential and most industrial users is meant to help ease the growing inflationary pressure, local media quoted CPC as saying. In January 2022, consumer prices in Taiwan increased by about 2.8% year/year. Inflation has remained over 2% for the sixth consecutive month, Focus Taiwan reported.

CPC is the biggest LNG importer in Taiwan and operates three regasification terminals.
