Switzerland green hydrogen network gets infrastructure boost

A division of Norwegian renewable energy company Nel said May 5 it received a purchase order for an electrolyser that would support green hydrogen infrastructure in Switzerland.

The subsidiary, Nel Hydrogen Electrolyser, said it received a purchase order from H2 Energy for its 2 MW containerised electrolyser to split water into hydrogen and oxygen.

"This is a new milestone achieved in the development of a commercial green hydrogen infrastructure, clearly showing that hydrogen for heavy duty vehicles is a reality today,” Raymond Schmid, the regional vice president for sales and marketing at the Norwegian company, said.

The system will add to existing components designed to deliver hydrogen to support a trucking fleet in Switzerland.
