Sound Oil Moves Closer to Gas Extraction from Casa Tiberi Field
UK-based Sound Oil expects first gas from Casa Tiberi onshore project in Italy to come in early 2014.
"We are pleased to report continued operational progress in Italy,” chief executive James Parsons said in a note released on Thursday.
The Italian-focused small-cap exploration company awarded a three-month contract to Tesi Srl for engineering, procurement and construction assistance.
“Whilst Casa Tiberi is one of our smaller assets it will add to Sound Oil's near term production and revenue," Parsons explained.
In July, Sound Oil announced a gas discovery at Nervesa in the Po Valley. The company expects to achieve first gas sales from Nervesa in 2015. The UK-based firm is also working on the Rapagnano field, which delivered first gas in May.
