SOCAR Gas Export Price Was $160.46 Per 1,000 CM This Year
SOCAR exported its gas at an average price of $160.46 per 1,000 cubic metres from January to October 2015, a state body has reported. Azerbaijan exported a little more than 6.760 billion cubic metres (bcm) of gas, down 2.7% against the same period in 2014, the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan Republic said.
The figure includes the country's total gas export for the first 10 months of 2015, including the gas which is produced from BP-operated Shah Deniz field.
The State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan Republic doesn't reveal the revenues of any of the other gas export, excepting the gas which is produced by SOCAR.
According to the report, SOCAR's gas export reached more than 1.163 bcm in volume and $186.717 million in value during the first 10 months of the year. SOCAR sold that gas at an average of $160.46 per 1,000 cubic metres.
At present, State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) swaps gas with Iran and exports gas to Georgia. Azerbaijan's Shah Deniz gas is also exported via the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzerum gas pipeline (also known as the South Caucasus Pipeline) to Georgia and Turkey.
Earlier this week, the State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan reported that the country produced about 16.4 bcm of gas during the first 10 months of 2015.
