Chinese Sinopec's Yakela Gas Field Output Crosses Milestone
Cumulative gas output from Chinese oil and gas company Sinopec’s Yakela field has crossed10bn m3, the company said May 22.
The field, which came online 12 years ago, is operated by Sinopec Northwest Oil Field Company.
Gas from the field is supplied to Xinjiang and to China's west-to-east gas transmission project, Sinopec said.
Located in the north of the Tarim Basin in Xinjiang, the Yakela field is Sinopec’s largest condensate gas field as well as China’s sixth largest condensate gas field.
