Sinopec's Northwest Oilfield Achieves Milestone
Sinopec’s Northwest Oilfield has supplied more than 100bn m3 of natural gas to China’s Xinjiang Autonomous Region since 2005, the company said January 16.
The field has supplied 100.16bn m3 of gas to Xinjiang from 2005 till January 12, 2019, the company said. Northwest Oilfield is one of Sinopec’s main oil and gas fields and is located in Akesu and Hetian areas of Xinjiang.
Sinopec Northwest Oilfield Company, the operator of the field, is working aggressively to promote usage of natural gas in Xinjiang, Sinopec said.
