Sinopec's Fuling Field 1H Output Reaches 3bn m3
Sinopec’s Fuling shale gas field produced 2.96bn m3 of shale gas during the six months that ended June 30, 2018, the company said July 5.
The company sold 2.84bn m3 of shale gas during 1H, Sinopec said. It did not provide the year on year comparison for both output and sales.
In 2017, Fuling shale gas field achieved its production target, as its output reached 6bn m3, up 20% year on year. The gas sales volume from the field was 5.7bn m3, also up 20% year on year.
The first phase of Fuling shale gas field in Chongqing, central southwest China, went into production in 2015. Sinopec has announced it is aiming to produce 10bn m³ of shale gas annually by 2020 from the field.
