Sinopec to supply 27bn m3 of gas during winter
Chinese state-run gas producer Sinopec plans to supply 27bn m3 of natural gas to the domestic market during the winter season that runs from November 15 to March 15, it said on October 27 in a statement.
The company said that most of the locally produced supplies will come from fields such as Puguang, Yuanba, Fuling, Weirong, and Daniudi. It plans to supply 13.24bn m3 of natural gas from these fields, a year/year increase of 3%.
Sinopec said it will also focus on sourcing LNG from the spot markets. The company said it will begin receiving LNG from Qatar in January 2022 under a long-term contract it signed in March this year.
The company operates three LNG import and regasification terminals in China: Qingdao, Tianjin and Beihai. Earlier this month, it got the approval to build the Longkou LNG import terminal in the Shandong province.
