Sinopec starts its 1st digital gathering station
Sinopec on July 26 said it had started its first digital combined oil and gas gathering and transportation station at Shunbei oil and gas field.
The station, built by Sinopec’s northwest subsidiary, can process 1mn metric tons/year of oil and 380mn m3/yr of gas, the company said. “It will add new momentum to ensure the stable production of the Shunbei oil and gas field," Sinopec added.

The Shunbei oil and gas field is located in the Xinjiang region in northwest China. Since its discovery in 2016, the field has produced 3.05mn mt of oil and 1.12bn m3 of gas. Sinopec said it was planning to develop the second phase of the project. Once complete, the gas processing capacity will reach 1bn m3.
