Sinopec Kicks Off Tianjin LNG Project
Chinese energy major Sinopec has kicked off its Tianjin LNG project.
The project is an important component in China’s National Energy Strategy and is the biggest LNG project in northern China, the company said.
The project will help to ameliorate the energy structure of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei area as well as enhance the environment condition there, Sinopec added.
Located in Tianjin Nangang Industrial Zone, the project is run by Sinopec Natural Gas Company and divided into two construction phases, with a construction scale of 10 million ton per year.
The first phase of construction includes dock, terminal and pipeline, which is 702 km long with planned transportation volume of 4.0 billion m3/y.
