Sinopec Drills Over 400 Wells in Fuling Shale Field
Sinopec September 5 said it has drilled 402 wells in the Fuling shale gas field located in Chongqing, central southwest China.
Production from the field has reached 17.75mn m3/day, Sinopec said. The first phase of Fuling went into production in 2015. Sinopec is aiming to raise output to 10bn m³/yr by 2020.
Since 2014, four shale gas fields have been discovered in the Sichuan basin: Fuling, Weiyuan, Changning and Weirong.
