Bloomberg: BP Says Shah Deniz Gas Field to Stay Exempt From Iran Sanctions

BP Plc believes its Shah Deniz natural-gas field off the coast of Azerbaijan will remain exempted from U.S. and European Union sanctions on Iran.

“We are confident at the moment that we will not be captured by any change or escalation in the sanctions process,” Steve Garlick, a marketing manager for BP on Shah Deniz, said at the Energy Exchange’s European Gas Conference 2012 in Vienna.   MORE
