Standard: South Stream: Serbia starts construction late October, offshore works kick off in November
Srbijagas Director Dusan Bajatovic stated on Friday that he expects the works on the construction of the South Stream pipeline section through Serbia to begin in late October or early November.
The capacities of 41 billion cubic meters of gas in Serbia have not been changed, and the only thing that has been modified is the location of the South Stream exit point which will be built in Subotica and not in Sombor, Bajatovic said.
The funding of construction of the South Stream pipeline section through Serbia will be covered by Gazprom, and 40 percent of the works will be carried out by the local construction operative, Bajatovic said.
