Friedl News: Serbia and Bulgaria to Team Up in Energy Policy

Serbia's Prime Minister Ivica Dacic and Speaker of Bulgarian Parliament Mihail Mikov highlighted the commitment of the two countries to build the closest relations possible because that is in the interest of the whole region.

Dacic said at a joint press conference at the Serbian government that Serbia and Bulgaria should seek common interests because the two peoples are mutually connected.

People from the sphere of politics should follow the spirit of good neighbourly relations and resolve open issues in a constructive way, he noted.

The Prime Minister of Serbia added that not only political, but economic cooperation as well should be intensified.

He recalled that the two countries have many joint projects, such as South Stream, Nis-Sofia gas interconnection and the completion of the section of Corridor 10 leading to Bulgaria, and pointed to the possibility of a joint participation of Bulgarian and Serbian companies on the third markets.  MORE
