Senex's revenue up 30% in Apr-Jun
Sydney-listed Senex Energy on July 20 reported sales revenue of A$32.5mn ($23.8mn) in the three months to June 30 (Q4), up 29.5% year/year owing to higher production.
Production in Q4 was 4.7 petajoules (4.4bn ft3), up from 2.8 petajoules in the same period last year. “Senex reached a milestone this quarter, achieving its initial production plateau, at an annualised run rate of around 19 petajoules/year before production expansions,” CEO Ian Davies said.

The company realised an average gas price of A$6.9/gigajoules in Q4, down from A$7.5/gigajoules in the same period last year, Senex said.
Earlier this year, Senex completed the A$87.5mn sale of its Cooper basin business to fellow Australian explorer Beach Energy. Beach will become the sole Western Flank operator, and will also take 100% of its infrastructure, including the Growler-Lycium and Lycium-Moomba flowline systems.
Senex said that the Roma North expansion to 9 petajoules/year is expected online in Q1 FY2021-22. Meanwhile, Senex has signed an additional customer deal and will supply 1.7 petajoules of gas over three years from January 2022 to Nyrstar's multi-metals recovery plant at Port Pirie, South Australia.
