Senex Flows Gas From Hornet-1 Unconventional Well
Senex Energy has flowed gas at the rate of two million cubic feet per day at the Hornet-1 unconventional gas exploration well in Australia’s southern Cooper Basin permit PEL 115.
The company completed a multi-zone fracture stimulation of the Hornet-1 well in March. The well was stimulated over the interval 2,484 metres to 2,678 metres, targeting the tight gas sands of the Patchawarra Formation.
“Our exploration work to date confirms that the southern Cooper Basin could hold a massive new gas resource. We are moving quickly to capitalise on that potential,” Senex Managing Director Ian Davies said.
